We had such a neat assembly for the gym opening today! Students from each class got to shoot baskets and all the students got to do a "snowball fight" with socks. We took a school picture around the eagle on the gym floor.
In Math, we worked on finding the area of figures and creating figures with certain areas. We are to the end of our reading books, so we will be starting a unit on a novel called Stone Fox. I chose spelling words from the book that the students will be tested on Friday. There will be no vocabulary or grammar homework.
We are taking our field trip to McNary Dam this Friday. Thank you to those who signed up to drive! It is a free dress day that day. Students should wear shoes suitable for hiking. We will be eating our lunches in the nature area, so students can bring a blanket for the picnic.
