In Christian Studies, we discussed adopting animals from animal shelters and how God has adopted us as his sons and daughters through the death of Jesus Christ.  In Math, we went over the Identity Property and Zero Property in multiplication.  Tomorrow, we'll review what we've learned so far, and the students will take the test on Thursday.

This afternoon, we talked about cause and effect, and I read a couple books to the class that do a great job showing cause and effect:  The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate the Wash and If You Give a Pig a Pancake.  Then the students read the story Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears.  After that, the students started working on writing their own "If You Give a __ a __" stories, which they have an opportunity to share during Read-In Day!

Homework for today is...
Math worksheet (Lesson 4-8)
Finish "If You Give a..." story (It should be about 10 lines long with the last line ending the story in the same way the story started.)
