In Christian Studies, we read the story of Zacchaeus and discussed how we are both saint and sinner.  In Math, we went over the Commutative Property of Multiplication.  Ask your child to explain what that is and give an example!  We also discussed arrays and looked for examples of arrays in our classroom.

This afternoon, I met with each student to talk about how they are doing with their reading goal.  We talked about ideas for a new reading goal.  Tonight, students need to come up with what they want their new reading goal to be and have it ready to share with me tomorrow.

I showed the class how to take care of Pearl today.  The students will start taking turns now to clean her cage, feed her, etc.

The art gallery that we took a field trip to is offering a children's art class this month!  It will be Saturday, January 26 from 1:00 to 3:00 at the gallery in Richland.  The cost is $20, and it is being offered for children ages 8 to 14.  The kids will get to paint winter landscapes with acrylic paints.  You can sign up online or at the gallery.

Homework for today is...
Set a new reading goal
